My recent local hangout was Shivaji Nagar market, known for its street shops and offering a good bargain for budget conscious crowd, most of which comprises of the college students and middle income group families. You can find a lot of good stuffs at reasonable price if you spend good amount of time in exploring the many narrow lanes in the area.
The interesting thing that I observed and captured a part of it in the cam is that you get to see the communal Harmony and co-existence of a Hindu Temple, Christian Church and a Mosque, all at a few steps from each other.
The area is pre-dominatly a muslim settlement, nevertheless, the market is vibrant and alive with various brands as well. But not to miss the Jama Masjid road which is home to many Islamic shops selling fabrics, perfumes, clothes, bangles, flowers, home decors etc.
